DeVries Global promotes leaders

The 300-strong agency DeVries Global has promoted two senior staff to leadership roles in its London office. Helena Bloomer (pictured above, right) becomes regional managing director for Europe and Gemma Chaldecott (left) becomes deputy managing director for the UK operation, known as DeVries SLAM. The UK business has 35 staff. Bloomer had been DeVries SLAM's MD since 2012, while Chaldecott was previously head of brand strategy.

Autism Rocks appoints Media House International

Autism Rocks, the London-based charity that has organised fundraising concerts by acts such as Prince and Lenny Kravitz, has brought in PR agency Media House International on a one-year contract to promote Autism Rocks through PR and social media. Autism Rocks has hosted concerts in Dubai and London, and has raised £627,626 in donations so far.

David Andrews joins Gravity London

David Andrews has been hired by Gravity London in the newly created role of director, financial services media relations. This follows the firm winning pension trustee business Dalriada late last year. Former national newspaper journalist Andrews had previously worked for Grayling in a different role, but left following a restructure to run his own boutique agency, David Andrews Media.

Julie Chadwick leads PR at BJL

Julie Chadwick has joined independent integrated agency BJL as a board director, overseeing the growth of its PR offering. Chadwick is a former global marketing and comms director at Manchester Business School, and has also held senior corporate comms roles at The Co-operative Bank and Tesco, as well as working at agencies Euro RSCG PR and Fishburn.

Primo Toys appoints Semaphore London

Educational toy maker Primo Toys has appointed Semaphore London following a competitive pitch against several agencies. The agency will provide a full-service comms strategy as well as PR support for Primo, focusing on the launch of its programmable wooden robot and play set.

The Partners Group wins two accounts

York agency The Partners Group has been appointed by commercial glazing manufacturer Dual Seal Glass and anti-slip flooring company Polydeck.
