NASHVILLE, TN: ReviveHealth, the healthcare specialty firm recently acquired by Weber Shandwick, has named Joanne Thornton, formerly the agency’s chief account officer, as president.
She is the first person to hold the president role at the agency. Thornton will be responsible for agency growth and profitability at the enterprise level and assist CEO Brandon Edwards on strategic vision, the firm said in a statement. She will also work with Weber and other firms within Interpublic Group.
Thornton is based in Santa Barbara. Previously, she was a practice leader at Davies Public Affairs and managed corporate communications at Tenet Healthcare.
The agency also appointed Nicole Mraz, previously SVP of the health systems practice, as EVP of client services and named Nathan Juarez as VP of creative. Juarez was previously a graphic designer at the firm.
Last month, Weber Shandwick bought the Nashville-based agency for an undisclosed sum. ReviveHealth’s Nashville and Santa Barbara, California, offices have remained open, but its staffers in Minneapolis have moved into Weber’s office there. Edwards has remained in the CEO role since the deal, and ReviveHealth has kept its branding.
ReviveHealth posted $8.7 million in revenue in 2014.
