W wins PR brief for V Festival 2016

Festival Republic, which also owns Wireless and Latitude Festival, has appointed W to handle all PR activity for the V Festival 2016.

W won the account following a competitive pitch. Cake has previously managed PR for V Festival, and John Doe was appointed to a new social content brief for the festival last year.

Festival Republic has also selected W to manage Wireless Festival 2016 for a second year running.

W will manage the two-day event across both of its sites in Chelmsford (Hylands Park) and Staffordshire (Weston Park) on the weekend of 20-21 August 2016.

The agency will deliver a series of creative campaigns for V Festival, highlighting its 21st birthday, as well as operating a round-the-clock news pressroom for V, from the first wave of headliner announcements next month through to the festival weekend in August.
