Ketchum hires Nicole Mann to lead corporate and public affairs

Before spending nearly three years on the client side at Teva, Mann was a senior director at Qorvis and also worked at WE.

WASHINGTON: Teva Pharmaceuticals’ senior director of global public affairs and policy comms Nicole Mann has moved back to the agency sector and joined Ketchum.

Mann started at the Omnicom firm on Monday as SVP and director of public and corporate affairs, reporting to Ketchum senior partner and chief client officer Jerry Olszewski.

Prior to Teva, Mann was a senior director at Qorvis Communications; she has also worked at WE, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Mann said her time at Teva enabled her to grasp how clients operate and the chance to "really understand" their perspective. She added that her government affairs experience would also prove beneficial.

"There’s a public affairs thread that can be woven throughout the client experience," said Mann. "Everyone is influenced by legislation, whether or not they have a DC presence – their industries are influenced by what’s [happening] on Capitol Hill."

Mann takes on a role vacated by Kathy Jeavons in September last year, after which senior agency staff led the public and corporate affairs practice, Ketchum senior partner and CEO of North America, Barri Rafferty, confirmed to PRWeek last November.
