Jaguar Land Rover global head of media relations Ken Mc Conomy moves to new UK PR role

Jaguar Land Rover global head of media relations Ken Mc Conomy has been appointed to a new role heading UK PR.

Mc Conomy, who has been at the car maker since 2008, takes lead responsibility for all media relations and comms on all product, brand and corporate matters in the UK.

He began at the car maker as global PR director before being promoted to the head of media relations role in 2012. He starts as head of UK public relations this month.

The company said the current UK PR offices for Jaguar and Land Rover, led by Dan Connell and Kim Palmer respectively, remain unchanged and will now report to Mc Conomy, working alongside the global PR team.

Mc Conomy said: "This is an amazing time to be managing the reputation of our award-winning products and business performance. The UK is our home, and remains the core of our operations, R&D, manufacturing and design – fuelling intense media interest about Jaguar Land Rover, which I am proud to serve."

Jaguar Land Rover has not yet recruited a replacement for Mc Conomy as head of media relations.

Last year Luke Herbert left his role as head of UK government affairs at Jaguar Land Rover after seven years, joining Madano as a director in the agency's energy practice.
