Blue Rubicon lands PR brief for Call of Duty and Destiny maker Activision Blizzard

Blue Rubicon has been appointed by Activision Blizzard to handle corporate, financial and public affairs comms across Europe.

This was the first pitch of the fully integrated agency following Teneo’s acquisition of Blue Rubicon and StockWell in July.

A team of 10 staff members will run the account in what PRWeek understands is an ongoing brief.

The Blue Rubicon team takes over comms activities at an important time for Activision Blizzard, which has announced the opening of television and film divisions. The aim is to help Activision Blizzard cement its position as a global leader in entertainment.

Activision Blizzard senior director of marketing comms and corporate affairs Craig O’Boyle said: "The extended Blue Rubicon team impressed us with its understanding of our business and the emerging opportunities in our markets, and the team connected well with our vision for the future of entertainment."
