Former Number 10 adviser joins Quatro

Former adviser to Gordon Brown and head of the cabinet office at Camden Council, John Greenshields, has joined Quatro as its new head of political comms. Prior to joining the planning and property communication specialist, where he will drive expansion of its public affairs activity, he worked for agency HardHat. He also worked for the No to AV campaign.

Blair Metcalfe to move to MSL

Blair Metcalfe will join MSLGroup as a director in its UK corporate practice next month. The current head of media and entertainment at Ogilvy PR – and vice-chair of the PRCA’s Creativity Group – will work with MSLGroup's 70-strong digital, insight and creative teams at MSLGroup. He has been with Ogilvy for seven years.

Think PR promotes Rachel Creegan to MD

Aberdeen agency Think PR has promoted Rachel Creegan to the role of managing director. Creegan, who joined last year from an in-house role at Robert Gordon University, succeeds Fiona McWhirr who is stepping down after seven years to spend more time with her young family, but remains involved on a consultancy basis.

Natalia Brzezinski joins Kreab as international adviser

A former press officer for US senator John Kerry, Natalia Brzezinski, will join international comms consultancy Kreab as an international adviser tomorrow, 1 December. Having started her career in Kerry's office, Brzezinski is now a regular contributor to the Huffington Post, a board member of the Polar Music Prize and chief executive of tech and innovation summit Brilliant Minds. Kreab rebranded earlier this year.

ON-Broadcast takes two

Broadcast agency ON-Broadcast Communications has taken on BBC producer Phil Westerman and Columbia Records’ Nick Harnett. Westerman, who most recently worked on The One O’Clock News, The Victoria Derbyshire Show and the News Channel, joined in late October, while Harnett joined last week after four years at Columbia where he was responsible for acts including Avril Lavigne, John Mayer and A$AP Rocky.

CNBC partners with Sauber F1

International business and financial broadcaster CNBC has become a premium partner of the Sauber F1 Team for the 2016 Formula 1 Championship. A CNBC spokesman said it was "the start of a more proactive approach to our PR and comms and reaching our audience in new and innovative ways".

Wild Card's new seafood client

Oyster specialist, seafood wholesaler and restaurateur Wright Brothers has appointed the agency Wild Card for a new PR campaign to increase awareness and loyalty for the brand as experts in oysters, fish and seafood. The brief, won following a competitive pitch, also includes the launch of new sites.

Cogent wins lawnmower work

Cogent PR has been appointed by worldwide lawnmower and landscaping equipment firm The Toro Company to handle all UK national trade and consumer PR. The account covers the client's Hayter and Toro brands, plus new product launches and Hayter's 70th anniversary celebrations.
