Lewis, who joined late last month, reports to Nadine Causey, senior vice-president for the EMEA and APAC region, and leads a team of four.
A Guinness World Records press release said she was responsible for managing the Guinness World Records brand, including the company’s wide consumer PR across all new and existing publishing products, along with crisis management, events, publicity campaigns and internal comms.
She is also heading PR for the company's commercial division, which works with brands and organisations seeking to use record-breaking to enhance their marketing, PR or employee engagement.
Predecessor Amarilis Whitty left the company in September to take up the post of global PR manager at HIT Entertainment, which oversees Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam and other children's brands.
In her previous role at Sky, Lewis worked across its entertainment brands Sky Living, Sky Atlantic, Sky 1 and Sky Arts, before which she worked at Virgin Media Television.
Lewis said: "Guinness World Records is one of the most loved family brands in the world and one I personally grew up with, so I’m really excited to have joined at such an exciting time. With a wealth of new initiatives and launches in the pipeline, I’m looking forward to establishing new partnerships and being part of such an iconic company."
