NEW YORK: Theatrical publicist Rick Miramontez has joined DKC to create theatre-focused division DKC/O&M, which will include other staffers from Miromontez’s firm such as Andy Snyder and Molly Barnett as creative director and VP of the theatrical division, respectively. The unit will be integrated into DKC’s national entertainment practice under Joe Quenqua.

LOS ANGELES: Terry Hines, VP of global comms at Converse, has joined the Lagrant Foundation board of directors as a member of its alumni committee. Before joining Converse, Hines worked on integrated communications and entertainment strategy for Nike’s Jordan Brand.

LOS ANGELES: 21st Century Fox has brought on Jonathan Bing as SVP of corporate comms, a newly created role. Previously, Bing ran boutique PR firm Bing Communications Group and launched Freud Communications’ office in Los Angeles.

MINNEAPOLIS: Smart Beer, a New York-based organic beer company that launched this fall, has named PadillaCRT as its AOR. The firm’s other clients include Barnes & Noble Education, BASF, and Bayer.

KNOXVILLE, TN: Scripps Networks Interactive has promoted Dylan Jones to EVP and CCO, overseeing global strategic messaging. He was previously SVP of corporate communications.

NEW YORK: Rubenstein PR has named Alisa Steinberg as VP of corporate communications. She previously worked as VP of PR and IR at Dobson Media Group and director of market intelligence and PR at RB Milestone Group.

FARMINGTON, CT: Co-Communications has acquired marketing and design agency 341 Studios, which will begin to use the Co-Communications brand. The team at 341 includes designers, developers, copywriters, marketing strategists, and digital comms specialists.

NEW YORK: Social intelligence firm Brandwatch has raised $33 million through new investor Partech Ventrues and pre-existing backers Highland Europe and Nauta Capital. Brandwatch also recently named David Jones and Amy Collins as CTO and head of product, respectively.

LOS ANGELES: Research consultancy Kelton Global has hired Brett Davis as COO. He joined the company after spending six years at Edelman, most recently as CFO and COO of Edelman Berland.

NEW YORK: The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts has begun working with The Halo Group. The agency also works with brands such as Hess Express and Liebherr. Halo will launch a campaign for the Conservatory with the goal of grabbing the attention of aspiring actors from around the world.
