Dixons Carphone on hunt for UK consumer PR agency following merger

Dixons Carphone, the electricals and telecoms retailer formed by the 2014 merger of Dixons Retail and Carphone Warehouse, is looking to appoint a single, consumer PR agency to work across its brands, PRWeek has learned.

The pitch process is being run by Simon Dornan, head of customer PR at Dixons Carphone.

The account covers the entire group, which also includes the Currys and PC World brands.

The incumbent agencies are Edelman for Carphone Warehouse and M&C Saatchi PR for Currys and PC World, and both agencies are repitching for the new account.

Following the merger last year, PR is the final marcoms function to undertake this process.

In July, Diffusion was retained for the group's social media account.
