PRWeek UK Awards Winners 2015: Consultancy of the Year (Gold Award)

Despite fierce competition, the judges felt that Golin deserved to win the overall Consultancy of the Year for its creativity and pioneering work on inclusion, in an award sponsored by Ginger Comms.

The agency reported 25 per cent organic growth on existing clients and a client retention rate of 93 per cent in the past year, while winning 73 per cent of competitive pitches.

New assignments from existing clients included projects from Unilever, Mondelez International and Npower. The agency’s impressive new business record included AB InBev, First Great Western and Sainsbury’s.

In addition, Golin made a commitment to become the most diverse and family friendly employer in the industry with a series of initiatives such as The Unternship – an internship designed to reach people from diverse backgrounds – and by making flexible working open to all team members, not just those who are parents.

Golin also became the first PR agency to open the Cannes Festival of Creativity with its now famous #Hoffornot experiment featuring actor David Hasselhoff.

Golin’s entry and overall pitch was fantastically creative. I marked them up for creative ideas and industry-leading initiatives on diversity. One of the strongest written entries"
