Connect wins PR and public affairs account

Connect Communications has been appointed by the Association of Educational Psychologists to provide PR and public affairs support, following a competitive pitch process that included incumbent agnecy Whitehouse. Connect will advise the AEP on issues including the increased workloads faced by its members, building wider understanding of the contribution its members make, and Welsh and Northern Irish legislative changes.

Clarks Kids appoints Portas

Following a competitive pitch process, Clarks has appointed Portas to an annual retainer to handle the retained UK PR account for its children’s business. The work will include press office activities and bigger campaigns that will engage with families, parents and children at both a national and regional level. The account was previously held by Shine Communications.

Clive Reeves runs tyre group campaigns

Clive Reeves PR has won an initial six-month, Europe-wide brief from the European Tyre & Rubber Manufacturers Association. The Birmingham agency will work alongside local film producers Rebel Uncut to create multi-language film as part of the trade-orientated campaign. Clive Reeves says it expects future projects to follow.
