Simone Whitfield leaves Blue Rubicon for H+K crisis team

Simone Whitfield will join Hill+Knowlton Strategies as a director in its issues and crisis management team later this week. She previously led crisis management at Blue Rubicon, and prior to this worked at Burson-Marsteller. She will work closely with Tim Luckett, chair of global crisis comms and risk management.

Huntsworth non-exec steps down

Farah Ramzan Golant has stepped down from her role as a non-executive board director at Huntsworth, which owns Citigate Dewe Rogerson and Grayling. Golant had taken up the post on 1 January this year, and resigned effective 5 October, owing to her new commitments as CEO of Nike-backed women's NGO Girl Effect, an announcement released to the City yesterday.

MHP works for FTSE stone manufacturer Marshalls

MHP Communications has been appointed as the retained financial and corporate comms adviser to Marshalls, a FTSE 250-listed manufacturer of natural stone and concrete products. The MHP team will be led by MHP Financial chief executive Andrew Jacques, who said the agency would communicate Marshalls' investment case to the market.

Durbin gets KISS for Luci campaign

Medical and pharmaceutical supplier Durbin has appointed creative agency KISS to an advertising, branding, digital, experiential and PR brief. The brief is to promote Luci, Durbin's inflatable, solar-powered light, to the NGO and charity sector, promoting it as a safer alternative to the kerosene lamps used in many locations affected by energy poverty.

Neat PR hires Nicole Rose from H+K

Retail PR specialist Neat PR has hired former Hill+Knowlton Strategies senior account director, Nicole Rose, to lead new business wins. At H+K, Rose worked across Procter & Gamble brands Gillette Venus and Febreze, as well as P&G’s partnership with Superdrug for Marie Curie. She previously worked for Frank PR.
