Unique Vacations takes Cubo's Dalton

Lucy Dalton has joined Unique Vacations' UK subsidiary as head of PR for UK and Europe. Unique Vacations is the exclusive worldwide sales and marketing representative for holiday firms Sandals, Beaches and Grand Pineapple Beach Resorts. Dalton was previously at Cubo Communications. She leads a UK team of three, and directs agencies in France, Italy and Germany.

Diffusion is Cities Talking's first agency

Mobile tour-guide app Cities Talking has appointed Diffusion as its retained UK PR agency, following a competitive pitch. The agency will implement campaigns promoting the role of Cities Talking's celebrity narrators, including author Kathy Lette and actor and presenter Christopher Biggins. PR was previously done in-house.

Bell Pottinger hires new Middle East partner

Former daily newspaper journalist Ehab Khairi has joined Bell Pottinger as a partner in its Middle East business. Based in the agency's Dubai office since arriving last month, Khairi was previously a senior PR manager at the National Bank of Abu Dhabi. He leads a team of ten native Arabic speakers across the firm's three Gulf offices.

Sofaworks appoints That Lot for social media

Sofaworks has appointed That Lot to look after the furniture retailer's social media, effective this month. The agency is on a 12-month retainer, and its work will involve community management, managing social adspend and other roles such as create content for Sofaworks' sponsorship of TV show Gogglebox.
