Bluewater retains Inkling for consumer and social media

Kent shopping centre Bluewater has hired Inkling as its retained consumer PR and social media agency following a pitch process including incumbent agency Shine, which was hired in December 2012. Inkling’s remit includes comms strategy, campaign planning and press office management. Aver continues to handle b2b PR.

US LGBT group GLAAD hires MWW for London meeting

America’s leading LGBT media advocacy organisation GLAAD has appointed MWW PR as PR partner for its first international board meeting in London this autumn. GLAAD was formed in New York in 1985 and promotes positive portrayals of LGBT people in the media. MWW is itself expanding its LGBT practice into Europe.

H+K's Read joins Powerscourt special situations team

Giles Read, formerly Hill+Knowlton's London issues and crisis director, has joined the special situations Team at Powerscourt, reporting into Conal Walsh, head of special situations.

Eulogy among agencies launching new Drayson venture 

CleanSpace, a new venture from London tech company Drayson Technolgies, has taken on Eulogy to handle strategic comms following a competitive pitch. The company, which aims to improve air quality by providing information on air pollution, will also work with agencies Cherry London, MRM Meteorite, Fearlessly Frank and MC&C.

Westminster Advisers gets Conservative account directors

Westminster Advisers has taken on two new account directors. Helen Roberts joins from the Law Society, and previously worked for a Conservative MP and then the party itself before the 2010 General Election, while McCallum returns to the agency following a year as chief of staff for Ruth Davidson, leader of the Scottish Conservatives.

1000heads launches standalone productions offering

Word of mouth agency 1000heads has launched a standalone production-only arm, 1000heads Productions. It is based in the firm's London office and led by production director Sammi Alani, building on existing services it offers across its global offices to clients including Skype, Adobe and Microsoft.
