Wrapped launches with Clark leading PR

Marketing and PR business the Wrapped Agency has been launched in Leeds, led by creative and managing director Kate Eady, the founder of design and web agency Space Creative. The founding quartet is completed by Martin Holmes, Simon Rose, and brand and PR director Rachel Clark, who formerly worked for agency Sweet + Salt and in-house for estate agency Savills.

Cubitt booked by .tickets domain operator

Accent Media, which in February secured the rights to the '.tickets' top level domain, has appointed Cubitt Consulting as its corporate and financial comms advisor. The domain has already been sold to hundreds of well-known brands including Google, Ticketmaster and eBay, and Accent says it wants to transform the world of ticketing.

PRCA Conference keynote announced

The PRCA's National Conference 2015, being held later this month, will feature an opening keynote presentation from BBC business editor Kamal Ahmed on crisis comms. Other presentations come from McCann Worldgroup and Royal Mail, and the day's themes are data, integration and the economics of reputation.

Asset manager AllianceBernstein appoints JPES Partners

Global asset manager AllianceBernstein has appointed JPES Partners to lead its UK media activities around defined contribution pensions. The agency is charged with keeping its client "at the forefront of the UK pensions industry at a time when the sector undergoes a radical evolution", a JPES press release said.

Claremont wins forestry brief

Confor, a non-government organisation that promotes sustainable forestry and wood production, has appointed Claremont Social Communications as its retained public affairs agency, following a competitive pitch. Claremont will also handle media and social media activity around the new All Party Parliamentary Group on Forestry.

TVU takes on Bubble & Squeak for European launch

Bubble & Squeak has won the contract to provide PR and marketing services across the EMEA, for TVU Networks, which provides video and broadcast solutions following telephone interviews with three prospective agencies. The US-based firm is launching into the European market and so had not previously used a UK PR firm.

Entice picks up food and fitness clients

Entice Communications has begun work on initial six-month projects for premium diet delivery service Fresh Fitness Foods and London personal training practice SIX3NINE. Both are due to launch new products in the coming months.

Wish comes true with new charity client for Cartwright

Cartwright Communications has been appointed by children’s charity When You Wish Upon a Star to manage its public relations throughout the UK. The charity appointed the agency on the back of a recommendation from another charity. It is the first time the charity has worked with an agency, Cartwright said.

Pavla Kopecna arrives in US and works with gallery

London and New York-based PR Pavla Kopecna has been hired by New York's Cara Gallery to promote an upcoming exhbition of Polish-French sculptor Igor Mitoraj. The gallery itself was opened in the summer, while Kopecna has been operating as Pavla Kopecna Ltd in the UK since last year, and recently started working in the US.

Senior hires in Singapore

As PRWeek Asia has reported, Havas Worldwide has appointed Anna Chew as its general manager in Singapore, while Martin Alintuck will join Kreab as managing partner in Singapore in October. He has previously been managing director of Edelman China and led Burson Marsteller’s Shanghai and Tokyo offices.

Ogilvy's Czech CEO moves to PR.Konektor

Czech PR firm PR.Konektor has appointed Radek Vitek as its chief executive. Vitek was previously the CEO at Ogilvy PR in the country, a position he had held for eight years. He had also previously worked for GCI Praha, part of global agency GCI Group.
