Cheapflights hires Bloomfield from Virgin Holidays to head PR

Flight search website Cheapflights has appointed Phil Bloomfield as its global head of PR and comms. He joined the business yesterday [2 September] from Virgin Holidays, where he had lead the comms function for nearly five and half years. He reports to marketing director Andrew Shelton, who he also worked with at Virgin Holidays. managing editor to join Corner Shop PR

Theo Bosanquet, managing editor of theatre website, will join performing arts agency Corner Shop PR in October 2015 in the new role of digital manager. Drama graduate Bosanquet joined in 2008. Corner Shop was set up in 2007 and opened an Edinburgh office earlier this year.

MHP gets WPP's McDougle for business development

MHP Communications has appointed Kate McDougle as marketing and business development director. She is charged with growing its client base, an MHP press release said. Previously she worked for 12 years for WPP's strategic marketing consultancy Added Value, prior to which she worked for telecomms firm NTL.

26 Letters PR appointed for two RAF airbase regenerations

Recently launched property specialist agency 26 Letters PR has been appointed to two separate regeneration projects on former RAF airbases; Dorchester Living's project in Heyford Park, Oxfordshire, and development of Prince Phillip Barracks in Bordon, Hampshire, by a joint venture including Taylor Wimpey. Both briefs are ongoing retainers and include a mix of corporate and consumer PR. Heyford Park's PR was previously handled by CubanEight.

Yin leads Fleishman in Singapore, French returns to US

Khoo Yin is FleishmanHillard's new general manager in Singapore after previously heading the office’s technology practice. She joined the firm in 2011, and succeeds Mickie French, who has repatriated to the United States. Read the full story from PRWeek Asia.

Stand Agency appointed for broker relaunch

Finance broker and packager Commercial Processing Centre has appointed stand agency to relaunch its communications activity targeting professional property investors. CPC had never previously engaged an agency for PR, Stand said. Stand is working alongside design company Jory&Co towards the Autumn relaunch.
