UK call-out phone repair service iMend has appointed Diffusion on a retained basis to promote the brand, following a three-way pitch.

iMend: Has a network of 150 repair technicians across the country
iMend: Has a network of 150 repair technicians across the country

iMend has a team of nationwide engineers who are on call to visit people’s home or work, to carry out a range of phone and tablet repairs from cracked screens to broken buttons and faulty batteries.

Diffusion has been tasked with positioning the company as the first point of call for consumers looking for rapid and convenient on-site mobile device repairs. The agency will promote the brand to UK consumer, technology and lifestyle media through a series of creative campaigns and bloggers.

iMend was founded by technology entrepreneur Keir McConomy at the end of 2014 and it is now processing up to 700 repairs a week, with a network of 150 repair technicians across the country.

McConomy said: "Diffusion has a deep understanding of consumer technology coupled with deep media and online influencer relationships. The team understood our vision and goals instantly and developed a creative strategy that will take iMend out of the tech pages and into the lifestyle and national media."

Ivana Farthing, head of consumer technology at Diffusion, added: "iMend is the type of company that we love to work with at Diffusion – it’s a brand that is using technology to shake up an industry that hasn’t changed for years."
