Kew Green Hotels hires House PR for ibis launch

Hotel operator Kew Green Hotels has appointed House PR to work on the launch of four ibis Styles hotels in the UK this autumn.

Kew Green Group operates more than 50 hotels across the UK, the majority under franchise agreements with international hotel brands including Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza, Ramada and Courtyard Marriott.

The hotels' owners, Carillion, has invested £2.5m in the opening of four new ibis Styles hotels this year in Barnsley, Haydock, Crewe and Birmingham Airport/National Exhibition Centre.

House PR did not competitively pitch for the work. While the agency has been hired on a project basis, it could lead to future work for the group.

The agency will manage press office activity and create a buzz around the key locations. The account will be led by Amy Vickery, who joined House in January from Channel 5, and managing partner Sam Oxley.

Kew Green Group marketing manager Amy Cable said: "We were really impressed with House PR’s media insight and creative approach to engagement across all platforms. During this period of major investment we’re pleased to be working with an agency that is so engaged with the brand and connected across lifestyle media."
