LDR Creative wins contract to run campaign for The Whisky Show

LDR Creative has been appointed to deliver an integrated publicity campaign for The Whisky Show, being held in London in October.

LDR said it was approached by the client and was asked to pitch for the account.

The show, which was first held in 2009, is run by retailer The Whisky Exchange, which has charged LDR with increasing awareness of the show, supporting ticket sales and "helping to communicate the accessibility of whisky" among those new to the drink, an LDR press note says.

The Whisky Exchange events co-ordinator Andrew Milne said: "We are looking forward to continuing to build awareness of The Whisky Show, not only as the UK’s largest dedicated whisky event, but as an exciting, educational show for both those in the industry and consumers. LDR Creative’s experience within the spirits industry makes them an obvious agency to lead the project."

Earlier this year, LDR picked up an account with Scottish whisky distiller Bowmore.
