SINGAPORE: Ex-WSM Communications managing director Chris O'Donoghue has launched a new sports and entertainment agency Mongoose, with bases in Singapore and London.

Part of the Mission Marketing Group, Mongoose will focus on brand-led marketing, events and sponsorship campaigns for B2B and B2C clients.

"A Mongoose is nimble, agile, and tenacious, the perfect characteristics to describe our new agency and
vision," said chief executive Chris O'Donoghue, Chief Executive, Mongoose. "In short, the Mongoose philosophy is to out think, out wit and out play the competition and we look forward to performing in this way for our valued clients in the years to come."

O'Donoghue, who played a pivotal role in the sale of WSM Communications to the Bill Gates controlled
Corbis Inc. in 2014, was previously sponsorship director at the WTA.

He is joined at Mongoose by ex-Vodafone exec Laura Pollard and Philippa Stewart, who has worked on campaigns for HSBC, Aberdeen Asset Management and Brit Insurance. Sports industry veteran
John Beddington has been named chairman.

Brands already on board include the title sponsor of The London Triathlon, AJ Bell; Chestertons Polo in the Park, The O2 sponsor CEWE Photobook, and Thomson Reuters which is a partner of the LTA.
