Kohler brings on Ketchum for wide-ranging comms account

The PR firm joins a roster made up of other Omnicom Group firms working on the Kohler business.

KOHLER, WI: Kitchen and bath plumbing product maker Kohler has hired Ketchum as AOR following a competitive review.

The agency is working on corporate and consumer brand communications, as well as thought leadership, sustainability, and social media. Ketchum is supporting Kohler’s brands within its four business units: kitchen and bath fixtures, interiors, power, and hospitality, according to a statement from the firm.

It was not immediately clear whether Kohler had an incumbent PR firm.

In addition to Ketchum, Kohler works with an integrated marketing roster comprised of sister Omnicom agencies DDB, PHD, and Organic. DDB handles advertising, PHD works on media buying, and Organic manages digital for the company.

Ketchum Asia won Kohler’s account in China last year.

Representatives from Kohler and Ketchum were not immediately available for comment.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Kohler, which was founded in 1873, has more than 30,000 employees across six continents, according to the company’s website.
