Leathley was previously director of cross-government comms, based at the Cabinet Office.

Before this he worked at the Department of Energy and Climate Change, after spending nine years at Virgin Trains where he managed the company’s media, political and internal comms operation, as well as customer relations.

In his new role at UK/US joint venture MTCnovo, Leathley will be responsible for media relations regarding the rehabilitation of offenders in London and the Thames Valley area.

MTCnovo was set up in February this year following the acquisition of London and Thames Valley Community Rehabilitation Companies.
