The trade body will survey PRCA members about whether the UK should remain in the EU; whether it should renegotiate its membership; and how changes to its membership might affect ‘UK Plc’ and the PR industry.
The PRCA will also survey the global membership of ICCO to gain international views on the UK’s place in the EU.
Other activities include blogs voicing the opinions of PRCA members, alongside events to debate opposing views.
Francis Ingham, director general of the PRCA, said: "This is a huge subject for UK business, and it’s time we gave the PR industry a chance to debate the issues. While remaining purely impartial in the matter, we want to hear all sides of the discussion."
The Government had proposed holding the EU referendum on 5 May 2016, the same day as national and local elections, but has since said the vote will occur on a different date following criticism.
