Huawei picks Lewis PR for communications brief in Malaysia

Youth-focused smartphone brand seeks to deepen consumer and stakeholder engagement.

MALAYSIA - Huawei Malaysia has appointed Lewis PR as its local agency of record for Huawei Honor following a competitive pitch.

Lewis will develop an integrated communications strategy and outreach to technology and lifestyle media for the smartphone brand. The appointment also includes the Huawei P8 launch management for the Southern Pacific region.

The agency opened its Kuala Lumpur office in May 2013 and has a range of b2b and b2c clients on its roster across enterprise and consumer IT, healthcare, lifestyle, property and telecommunications.

Lewis Asia Pacific reported a 25 percent increase in revenues in the last financial year ending July 2014. Globally revenues grew 42 percent to US$57 million.
