Andrex appoints Salt for UK comms brief

Andrex has called in Salt to manage its UK comms, taking over from MHP which previously held the account.

Salt won the work following a three-way pitch.

The agency worked with the brand last year to develop its first social campaign, focused around ensuring a clean and safe toilet for people everywhere. A key aspect of the campaign was a partnership with Unicef in Sainsbury’s, to support sanitation programmes in Angola.

Andy Last, chief executive at Salt, said: "Andrex  is an iconic, well-loved brand, the biggest non-food brand in the UK. Our programme will focus on the brand’s leadership in a category and on a subject that has not always been easy to talk about. This is a great opportunity for us to work with and learn from Andrex and its other agencies to find new ways to tell that story."
