This is the second tourist board account win for Publicasity this year after the agency was appointed to promote Turkey tourism last month.
The Saint Lucia brief is to develop a year-round PR programme for the UK and Ireland.

The account was previously held by Consolidated PR, which won a pitch in 2010 to become the board's retained agency.
Atlyn Forde, director of marketing UK & Europe, said: "We had a number of strong presentations from other agencies, but overall it was a unanimous decision from the panel to appoint Publicasity as they scored highly on all our key criteria and are the perfect fit to deliver on our strategic goals."

Pegi Amarteifio, associate director at Publicasity, added: "In many ways Saint Lucia Tourist Board is a dream account with its unique and fascinating appeal. We have a great task ahead to publicise the diversity of Saint Lucia to new and existing audiences to ultimately increase visitation from the UK and Ireland."

Saint Lucia is set to host its annual jazz and arts festival this month.
