PRWeek Global Awards: the winners revealed

Weber Shandwick won the Gold Award for Global Agency at last night's PRWeek Global Awards, the prestigious ceremony celebrating the best in public relations from around the world.

The in-house team at J Walter Thompson won the Gold Awards for its Spirit of Pioneering campaign during the high-profile event at London’s Park Lane Hotel.

Another major winner was MSLGroup’s #LikeAGirl campaign for Procter & Gamble Always. It picked up the Gold Award – Campaign of the Year, and the Gold Award – Global Brand. The campaign also won the top award in the Healthcare, Product Brand Development and Global Citizenship categories.

Weber Shandwick CEO Andy Polansky and Ford of Europe VP of comms Mark Truby were both recognised for their achievements in the year, winning Gold Awards in the Global Professional category for Agency and In-House respectively.

The Global Awards, now in their second year, were sponsored by Edelman, Ketchum, Weber Shandwick and MSLGroup. They recognise the transformative work by PR agencies and in-house teams that crosses borders. The awards were chosen by a 21-strong team of expert judges from across the industry.
