The free general election analysis tool, which was created by Bell Pottinger's digital team along with data experts Crimson Hexagon, tracks social media conversation about parties, policy issues and engagement.

The tool allows visitors to see top mentions, hashtags, retweets, influential authors, as well as the most prolific tweeters and positive/negative sentiment.

Information is summarised daily in visual form and visitors can use filters to search historical data.

Senior Bell Pottinger executives who have worked as advisors to prominent figures such as Tony Blair are also on hand to provide political insight.

James Henderson, chief executive of Bell Pottinger, said the tool showcases the political expertise at the firm and the "integrated approach" it takes to work.
