Pernod Ricard appoints We Are Caffeine for The Venture campaign

Drinks giant Pernod Ricard has brought in We Are Caffeine to provide global PR support for The Venture, a campaign to find the most promising entrepreneurs and business start-ups.

The campaign was launched in October last year by the company’s whisky brand, Chivas Regal, and has already received more than 1,000 applications from social enterprises across five continents.

We Are Caffeine will provide PR strategy and planning, gain the support of 16 local markets involved in The Venture, including US, Brazil and China, and distribute global news announcements.

The agency will also manage media attendance for an event in San Francisco in July, where five finalists will be selected to pitch in front of a live audience and judging panel.

We Are Caffeine was given the business after it worked on Pernod Ricard’s Beefeater gin brand last year.

David Phillips, director at We Are Caffeine, said: "Social entrepreneurship is becoming an increasingly talked-about subject around the world, so it’s great to be involved in a campaign that is both celebrating and accelerating responsible businesses."

The Shoreditch-based agency was formed in 2013 by three ex-Freuds directors – David Phillips, Jamie Walden and Will Cookson.
