RF Thunder launches office in Beijing, Tingting Wu leads

Ruder Finn's sister agency launches its first office in Beijing and promotes account director Tingting Wu to GM.

BEIJING - RF Thunder, sister agency of Ruder Finn Asia, has launched its first office in Beijing, raising the number of offices it has in Greater China to four. Tingting Wu, has been promoted from her post as account director at Ruder Finn to GM of the Beijing office.

RF Thunder, formerly Thunder Communications, was established in Shanghai in 2001 and was acquired by Ruder Finn in 2011. It most recently launched an office in Hong Kong in January.

The new Beijing office will focus on luxury, lifestyle communications and crisis management, as well as working closely with Ruder Finn Innovation Studios (RFI) the agency's digital arm.

Wu brings with her 15 years exprience, a decade of which has been with Ruder Finn. During that time she's worked with clients such as Mont Blanc, Hermès, Cartier and Bentley.

"RF Thunder has grown into a powerhouse agency and has more than doubled its revenue in the last three years," said Elan Shou, managing director & SVP of Ruder Finn Greater China. "I’m confident that with the opening of RF Thunder Beijing, we will further consolidate our network and extend our strategic communications expertise across Greater China to provide better service to our clients."

RF Thunder has grown at an average of 88 percent year-on-year since its acquisition by Ruder Finn. In 2014, RF Thunder saw a 200 percent business growth and 33 percent increase in staff numbers.
