PSG was already handling golf PR for The Belfry and the extended brief encompasses all PR and marketing activities for the hotel and resort. This role was previously fulfilled by The Massey Partnership.
PSG has been retained on a long-term rolling contract and we will be carrying out full promotional activities to establish the Belfry as a lifestyle resort.
The firm told PRWeek it plans to host journalists and events to promote the venue as a premier destination for weddings and hospitality events.
Nick Byrom, head of the UK office at Professional Sports Group said: "We have thoroughly enjoyed working with The Belfry Hotel and Resort in the golf industry and now look forward to working across the wider resort, positioning The Belfry as a leading premium hotel at the heart of the country."
Gail Webb, marketing director at The Belfry, said PSG has the credentials to promote the resort regionally and nationally.
She said: "We have been very happy with what PSG has achieved for us in golf since 2013 and look forward to working with them across all areas of the resort, with a focus on our spa, conference, restaurant and wedding facilities."
The Belfry has hosted golf's Ryder Cup four times and underwent a £26 million refurbishment in 2014.
