INDIANAPOLIS: Anthem has hired Bonnie Jacobs as SVP of corporate communications, leading executive communications, internal comms, and PR. She previously was VP of corporate affairs and PR and CCO at Allergen. Jacobs will be based in Indianapolis.
NEW YORK: The Institute for Public Relations has elected Tina McCorkindale as its CEO. She will succeed Frank Ovaitt, who is retiring, in the role. She will be the fifth chief executive in the organization’s history.

NEW YORK: Bullfrog + Baum has named Jee Won Park and Lauren Sikora as MDs. Park was most recently director of communications for Union Square Hospitality Group, while Sikora was previously account director at Bullfrog + Baum. The firm also named Jessica Rosen director of media relations and partnerships.
DUBLIN, IRELAND: Horizon Pharma has named Geoffrey Curtis group VP of corporate communications. He is reporting to Timothy Walbert, chairman, president, and CEO. Curtis is overseeing corporate and product communications, media relations, and internal comms.
CLEVELAND: Dix & Eaton has upped president and COO Chas Withers to president and CEO, effective July 1. Former chief executive Scott Chaikin will continue serving as executive chairman at the firm. He will also dedicate more time to client work. Withers, who was named president at Dix & Eaton in 2008 and added his COO title two years ago, will become the firm’s third CEO since its foundation in 1952.
