The agency uses celebrities as influencers and analyses the social media performance of its clients, offering advice on how to improve their presence on these channels.
TheAudience cited the "unique business challenges" of the UK market as the reason for its decision. It is not clear how many people worked for theAudience in the UK.
A spokesman for the agency said: "Yesterday, we made the very difficult decision to wind down our UK business. This decision was made based on unique business challenges in that specific market. The agency retains its presence in Los Angeles and New York.
