TORONTO: Hill+Knowlton Canada has brought on Jason MacDonald and Susan Schutta as VPs in its Ottawa and Toronto offices, respectively. MacDonald was previously communications director and chief spokesman for Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Schutta was most recently senior director at Walmart Canada.

NEW YORK: Shutterstock has brought on Craig Felenstein as SVP of investor relations. He will lead IR and help to guide financial operations as a senior executive on the finance team. Felenstein most recently was EVP of IR and CFO of digital at Discovery Communications.

LOS ANGELES: Bud Genius, a laboratory for cannabis testing and profiling, has launched an investor relations website. BGMedTech.com includes company news, profiles of company divisions, updates on legalization efforts, and media relations and IR contact information.

NEW YORK: The CHR Group has named Jonathan Zaback president of its newly launched communications and brand marketing unit. He will maintain his current role as the holding company’s chief strategy officer and partner. The group includes firms such as Raker Goldstein, Trylon SMR, Idea Workshop, and brand marketing firm Adler.

BOSTON: PAN Communications has hired Lauren Arnold and Darlene Doyle as VPs, serving its technology and healthcare clients. Arnold previously worked as VP at MSLGroup in Boston, and Doyle was most recently VP at Version 2.0 Communications.

SACRAMENTO, CA: Perry Communications has added the California Craft Brewers Association and the Sierra Nevada Conservatory to its client roster.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC: Travel and tourism firm Fuel has named Jay Juan Garcia as director of sales and marketing. Previously, he was regional e-commerce manager and digital brand marketing analyst for Hilton Worldwide in Dallas.

LOS ANGELES: Caruso Affiliated has hired Steven Martin as SVP of strategic alliances and entertainment. He will oversee client sponsorships, entertainment events, brand activations, and out-of-home. Martin will report to chief marketing and communications officer Judy Johnson. He previously worked as VP of marketing at City of Hope for seven years.
