Spectrum expands to Manhattan; Grilled Cheese Truck names SpecOps as AOR.

PHILADELPHIA: Comcast has promoted CCO D’Arcy Rudnay to EVP. She is the first woman in the company’s history to be named executive vice president. Rudnay will report jointly to chairman and CEO Brian Roberts and EVP David Cohen. She was named to the PRWeek Hall of Fame last year.

WASHINGTON: Ketchum has named Dr. Christopher Handler as SVP and director of its social marketing practice. In the new role, Handler will report to Bill McIntyre, director of Ketchum’s Washington, DC, office.

SAN DIEGO: AIG Advisor Group has selected KCD PR as its AOR. The firm will create a communications platform about a diverse array of strategic initiatives AIG Advisor Group is working on, it said in a statement.

NEW YORK: Spectrum is planning to open an office in New York’s financial district on March 16. MD Michelle Gross will lead the office. The firm focuses on health, consumer, and life sciences communications.

NEW YORK: The Grilled Cheese Truck has named SpecOps Communications as its PR AOR as it rolls out its national franchise and branding program. The company operates and licenses grilled cheese food trucks in the Los Angeles and Phoenix areas with plans to expand.
