Porter names APAC president; AMC builds corp comms staff; Ketchum grows Sports & Entertainment group in LA.

SINGAPORE: Porter Novelli has promoted Angie Schneider, formerly partner and MD in its Seattle office, as president of the firm’s Asia-Pacific region, based in Singapore. She is reporting to CEO Karen van Bergen. Schneider replaced John Orme in the role.

NEW YORK: AMC Networks has hired Bernadette Simpao as VP of corporate communications. She is reporting to Jim Maiella, AMC Networks SVP of corporate communications. She was most recently senior director of communications for Viacom International Media Networks.  

LOS ANGELES: Ketchum Sports & Entertainment has hired Kelly Mullen as VP of branded entertainment, based in Los Angeles. She was most recently co-founder of the entertainment division at Walter Isaacson Marketing Agency.

LONDON: Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution has promoted Victoria Marcroft to VP of marketing, promotion, and publicity. She will be responsible for leading the London-based EMEA marketing team and managing promotions and events.

RALEIGH, NC: Actor Marc John Jeffries, known for roles in films such as Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and Notorious, has hired French/West/Vaughan as his PR AOR. The firm will work with Jeffries to develop a strategic media relations and marketing program.

NEW YORK: Jaguar Growth Partners, an investment management and advisory firm, has brought on Quyen Tran as principal leading fundraising and investor relations. Previously, she was a director of marketing at Parella Weinberg Partners.
