The agency has been appointed on a six-month contract in the run up to the event, which takes place on 18 June.
The global event, co-founded by Al Gore and Control Room CEO Kevin Wall, is a series of seven concerts across seven continents in a bid to promote global action on climate change in the run up to the UN climate change conference in Paris this year.
The main event takes place in Paris, where LD Communications will be based. The other concerts will be in New York, Sydney, Beijing, Durban and Rio de Janeiro as well as a broadcast from Antarctica.
LD’s CEO Bernard Doherty said: "The strong combination of our expertise in media relations for huge multi-artist events, realistic creative initiatives for major stars and crucially maintaining the important messaging of climate change awareness helped us land this account.’’
Wall said: ‘’LD Communications was the obvious company in Europe to hire for this event. Not just because of its excellent track record but more importantly Bernard Doherty and his team presented a clear and concise multi-platform game plan to generate fresh awareness of climate change to a young influential demographic."
