The poll, which asked readers "is the PR industry sexist?", received 113 responses. Of those, 51 respondents answered "largely agree" and 24 people chose "strongly agree".
The total of respondents answering "largely agree" and "strongly agree" amounted to 66 per cent of the vote, reflecting the gender split of the industry, which is broadly two-thirds women.
Of the other respondents, 21 answered "largely disagree" and 17 said they "strongly disagree".
The poll was conducted after a study from the CIPR revealed last week that male PR professionals are paid an average of £8,500 more than women, solely because of gender.
