WASHINGTON: GMMB has promoted Allison Thomas and Christine Glunz to SVP. Thomas will lead planning and research across the firm. Glunz will work on issues including healthcare, public health, sustainability, and the environment.

NEW YORK: Lippe Taylor has hired Abby Garner as VP of content. She has held editorial positions at Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, YM, Glo.com, and Allure.

BOCA RATON, FL: Sachs Media Group has opened a South Florida office, bringing on Amy Rosen as VP of South Florida operations and lead of the Boca Raton location. She previously worked for Bally Total Fitness in Chicago, where she held roles including VP of marketing.

STAMFORD, CT: Stu Loeser & Co. has expanded to Connecticut with an office in Stamford. The firm has hired Andrew Doba, former communications director and senior adviser to Governor Dannel Malloy (D-CT) as part of the move.

NEW YORK: Nancy J. Friedman Public Relations has added The Williamsburg Hotel in Brooklyn, New York, and the Hotel Commonwealth in Boston to its client roster. Both are scheduled to open in 2015.

MADRID: MMGY Global has expanded to Europe with an office in Madrid. Chris Pomeroy will lead the office as director of global strategies and client services. He was previously CEO of Interface Tourism Spain.
