Brunswick Group brings on Edelman's Krempasky as global digital lead

Before a career of nearly a decade at Edelman, Krempasky was political director at American Target Advertising for two years.

WASHINGTON: Michael Krempasky, former Edelman GM and digital public affairs head in Washington, DC, has joined Brunswick Group as global lead of its digital practice.

He will remain based in the nation’s capital, where he will collaborate with the firm’s creative communications company, MerchantCantos, and "spend the majority of his time building out the firm’s digital offering both domestically and internationally," the firm said in a statement.

Before spending just shy of a decade at Edelman, Krempasky was the political director at American Target Advertising for two years, according to his LinkedIn. He is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University.

Last month, Bill McIntyre, EVP and group head of Edelman’s Washington, DC, office, left the firm to lead the operations of Ketchum in the nation’s capital.

An Edelman representative was not immediately available for comment.

Earlier this month, Brunswick said it had hired George Little, former Pentagon press secretary and director of public affairs and spokesman for the CIA.
