The agency, founded by retail consultant and broadcaster Mary Portas, has been handling UK comms for Clarks for the past 17 years.

It will now be responsible for developing global PR initiatives across all regions, including this year's 65th anniversary of the Clarks Desert Boot and the brand’s headline sponsorship of the upcoming V&A exhibition Shoes: Pleasure & Pain.

Roy Gardner, group director, category marketing, said: "[Portas'] commitment, enthusiasm and understanding of the Clarks brand ultimately made for the most compelling proposal [for awarding the brief]."

Portas said: "This global remit gives us the opportunity to really leverage the masses of knowledge and insights we have harnessed from working with this brilliant business for 17 years."
