PRWeek revealed that Airbnb started talking to agencies in November, with incumbent Freuds deciding not to repitch for the account.

Hope&Glory will provide press office support alongside Airbnb's in-house team, as well a series of campaigns to build brand awareness in the UK and grow its share of listings.

Hope&Glory managing partners Jo Carr and James Gordon-MacIntosh will lead the account and report to Airbnb comms manager for UK & Ireland Alison Wood.

Carr said: "Airbnb is a fascinating brand and we’re looking forward to working with the team to increase its influence even further and make it a true 'phenomenon' brand. Our combination of creative campaigning experience, travel expertise and publicity will hopefully mean you’ll be seeing a lot more of it in the very near future."
