Ketchum promotes Stephen Waddington to chief engagement officer

Stephen Waddington has been promoted to the newly created role of chief engagement officer at Ketchum, in a bid to drive integration of digital and social capabilities.

Waddington starts in the role immediately, reporting to David Gallagher, senior partner and CEO of Europe.

In his new role, Waddington will work on digital and social strategy in existing accounts and act as an ambassador for the agency on modern forms of engagement and public relations practice. He will also provide lead senior counsel on integrated global accounts.

Rob Flaherty, senior partner, CEO and president of Ketchum, said: "All of our clients are at different stages of a journey from using digital as a channel through to building fully social businesses. Waddington will continue to work with the European network of digital and social specialists and work closely with partner Debra Forman and Vivien Teo, who lead digital strategy in North America and Asia respectively.
