Three agencies pitched in the final round of bidding for the account, which was previously held by Red Door Communications - that agency did not repitch.
The brief will be to communicate to both professional and consumer audiences around human papilloma virus (HPV) prevention as well as other childhood and adult vaccines in the Sanofi Pasteur MSD portfolio. The company provides around 20 vaccines, helping to protect against diseases that threaten babies, children, adolescents, adults and older people.
Paul Hardiman, comms manager at Sanofi Pasteur MSD, said: "Zeno’s energetic approach to media relations and in-depth knowledge of, and passion for, vaccines shone during the pitch process. The team will help us in driving awareness and understanding of the important issues that surround life-course vaccination in the UK."
Zeno has worked with a number of clients in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, including AstraZeneca and Besins Healthcare, alongside a diverse range of companies including Amazon, BT, Pizza Hut, Netflix and Pampers.
Catherine Devaney, MD of Red Door Communications, said: "Sanofi Pasteur MSD ran a procurement-led pitch last year (as they do every two years) and we declined to be involved with it. We’ve worked with Sanofi Pasteur MSD for 13 years and are extremely proud of the work we’ve done together."
