The acquisition will see all 25 Wriglesworth staff move to Instinctif Partners’ offices in the City and integrate within its capital markets and corporate affairs practice.
John Wriglesworth and Laura O’Connell will join the team as managing partners, under Instinctif managing director Tim Fallon.
The move is part of the agency’s wider strategy to build an international network; last year it acquired German public affairs specialist Brand Associates.
Wriglesworth specialises in the financial services, property, professional services, recruitment and HR sectors.
Richard Nichols, group CEO of Instinctif Partners, said: "Wriglesworth represents an excellent complementary fit with our established capital markets and corporate affairs practice. Instinctif Partners currently acts for more than 700 clients globally, including 45 FTSE 350 and 12 Fortune 500 corporations. Along with our own organic growth and success in recent years, this acquisition is another step forward in fulfilling our ambition to build one of the world’s most successful and respected international business communications consultancies."
John Wriglesworth, CEO of Wriglesworth, added: "The strong variety of complementary skills in both organisations means that this is a very natural evolutionary union. I feel like we are now turning from a strong maverick caterpillar into a sustainable butterfly. We look forward to working with the Instinctif team and to playing our part in its future growth."
