Toyota veteran Iliffe-Moon to take over beverage comms at Nestlé

Friday is her last day at the automaker after nine years.

GLENDALE, CA: Sona Iliffe-Moon, PR manager for Toyota brand and marketing communications, is stepping down from her role at the automaker to take over comms and brand affairs for Nestlé USA’s beverage division.

Iliffe-Moon, who has worked at Toyota for eight years, will officially leave the company on Friday. She will join Nestlé as PR brand affairs manager for the beverage division on January 19, reporting to Roz O'Hearn, director of communications and brand affairs for Nestlé USA’s prepared foods division.

Joanne Crawford-Duner previously led PR for Nestlé’s beverage sector. Crawford-Duner recently retired from the company, explained Iliffe-Moon, via email.

In 2012, Iliffe-Moon was promoted from media relations supervisor and marketing communications strategist at Toyota to her most recent role.

Early in her career, Iliffe-Moon worked at Hill & Knowlton, Weber Shandwick, and the State Department’s Bureau of Arms Control.

Representatives at Toyota were not immediately available for comment on her departure or to say who will take over her responsibilities.

Business communications manager Carly Schaffner departed Toyota Motor Sales last October to serve as senior corporate communications manager at TrueCar.
