UK Council for Psychotherapy appoints Graham Prince as head of comms

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) has appointed Graham Prince, formerly comms director at renewal energy firm D1 Oils, as its new head of communications.

As well as strengthening UKCP’s media presence, he will be charged with developing new member services and will work with UKCP’s public affairs manager to ensure the group’s voice is heard among the Government and NHS bodies.

Prince has worked in a number of comms roles including at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, at Mitsubishi, and at Gavin Anderson and Company, the forerunner to the agency Kreab Gavin Anderson.

David Pink, UKCP chief executive, said: "Graham has the broad strategic experience in communications, media and public affairs that will further strengthen the professionalism of our executive team. He will work with us to raise public awareness of the value of psychotherapy to contemporary society, and develop and improve services for our members."
