Vigo appoints Buchanan's Jeremy Garcia and Fiona Henson

Vigo Communications, the group co-founded by former senior members of M:Communications' energy team, has recruited two senior figures from Buchanan as it grows its client portfolio.

Former Buchanan partner Jeremy Garcia has been made a director with particular focus on technology, media, telecoms and support services. "Jeremy will focus on building up our TMT [telecoms, media and technology] and support services capabilities," said Vigo.

Fiona Henson joins Vigo as an account director, having held the same position at Buchanan.

Patrick d’Ancona, managing director of Vigo, said: "We are delighted to welcome Jeremy and Fiona, as we continue to grow our business and broaden our sector expertise. People make the difference in this industry and with our new arrivals we are adding considerable strength and depth to our business. Jeremy is a genuine leader in his areas of expertise and Fiona has experience working across a number of sectors with real knowledge of each."

Vigo’s client list currently numbers 25, including Genel Energy, the group run by former BP chief Tony Hayward, and Falklands oil company Rockhopper. Vigo was created in summer 2013 with a client roster primarily involving predominantly oil and energy companies.
