Superdream launches PR division with ex-Prova director Gill Holtom

Midlands-based communications agency Superdream has launched a PR division to meet client demands for a fully integrated comms service.

The agency, which up until now has provided PR services on a freelance basis, has appointed Gill Holtom, former PR director at Prova and Wyatt International, to head up the new in-house division.

Holtom will be joined by senior PR account manager Lisa Ellams, Francesca Evans and account executive Laura Townsend.

Holtom said: "PR is essential to send out positive brand messages and to help customers and businesses connect, talk about, and ultimately to buy in to a product or service. In 2015, we believe that collaborative marketing is the way forward for PR. Social media, online and PR are closely entwined at Superdream to ensure we leverage every opportunity, treble the impact of our messaging and produce streamlined and highly effective campaigns."
 
The launch of the PR function coincides with Superdream’s second birthday and follows the recent hiring of a new senior management team including Doug Laird as creative director from McCann’s and Jo Scott as digital editor from Havas Worldwide. The agency currently employs 50 people across digital, social media, marketing and advertising.
 
Superdream’s managing director, Jason Manning said: "The addition of in-house PR means we can make our media, digital and social media campaigns more impactful and engaging, creating more beneficial content with meaning. I’m delighted that Gill has joined Superdream at such an exciting time for the agency."
